I’m still “offline”, really, but Joseph from El Paso was talking about broadband infrastructure needs in the Borderlands at the meeting this week….and I got curious what’s out there now and saw this article so here it is.

The HomeFusion service which uses cellular to provide broadband will bring some access to the otherwise underserved, but it’s not what one would call “Affordable” and it’s metered by data use. Still, might be good for something.

LAS CRUCES, NM – Verizon Wireless customers will have access to its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in more places when the company expands its 4G LTE network on Aug. 16 in 38 markets, including Southern New Mexico, and launches coverage in 34 new markets.
