But the idea about modules and segments that can be edited into various larger DLE is still a good one to keep in mind. Watching History channel, and they often repurpose a 30 second or longer clip and put it in a different show, but change the duration in the soundtrack. ))
We have talked about focusing on modules or segments, that could be produced, and then incorporated in multiple ways into multiple projects. In some ways our PSA Diigo site is a way of collecting and organizing materials. Also we have MindManager to graphically organize material.
Yet another means is Final Cut Pro, which has comprehensive capabilities to add “meta data” to clips and stills and audio, and then to search by those meta data. You can probably imagine the implications of that capability.
