A fast company story which is much more upbeat about Google Fiber to home…”Everything’s Up to Date in Kansas City”… I missed that you get a free Nexus 7 tablet in the deal, but ti’s still only going to be available in neighborhoods that sort of self organize as wanting the product.
Then there’s the third level plan…free internet only at non fiber speeds if they pay for $300 installation. Installation waived if you pay $70 month for Gigabit up and down bandwidth.
One wonders at how these price points were determined, and just how interested Google is in making this a success.
