Maybe Seligman has taken on the current favorite re motivational studies title. This is just an example of one real life usage of his theories…called “Motivational Interviewing”

Strikes me that there’s a parallel here between the initial assessment and evaluation that leads to the creation of learning plan, and the “motivational interview”. For which this link provides a DVD series one can order to learn how to do this.

Apparently a Bill Miller was the person responsible for developing “Motivational Interviewing” as a technique.
