There’s an alternate to working within the Apple iOS universe….and that’s “Jailbreaking” your iOS device. After which one has access to non Apple Apps from a site called Cydia.
You access Cydia through a iOS device, including iPads, after they have been Jailbroken…
Apparently it’s relative safe to do, as one can use iTunes to reinstall your latest version of iOS if something goes wrong with Jailbreak. Haven’t personally any experience with this…but some of the Cydia apps sounded tempting…wannahaves.
