The use of QuickTime as a web site vehicle can prove problematic to non-Mac folks.
1) On my PC I have the QuickTime extension to Chrome installed. When I click on the “Mindmap”; after I authorize QT, the Mindmap displays, but it is full screen (tiny print to get it all on) with no way to navigate or magnify sections. This renders the drawing useless to me.
2) On my Android phone and Nexus tablet, I get nothing since QT is not installed.
3) Of course, it works fine in my iPad.
The Colleague Cloud document is a screengrab TIFF file for various technical reasons. When it opens in a new window, there is the option of clicking once on the document, and it will zoom a little bit, but not enough to make things easy to read.
It is intended as a generalized “statement” in the ABOUT section as to “who PSA is”, rather than a working reference to the various organizations and individuals in the document.
A number of other methods were tried without success that offered zooming and panning with greater access to the detail. Yes, it’s hard to read, but it does seem to present the general idea, so on balance, worth it being there.
AFAIK, quicktime is not needed or “involved” in accessing this TIFF document, but I could of course be wrong. Pls let me know if so. I’m ignorant of a lot of things. =^)
Thanks John – the problem was mine.
Somehow, Apple installed (or got me to install) the QT plug-in for Chrome and it became the default for a TIFF file.
Once I disabled QT, I was able to open the TIFF in Windows photo viewer nad expand and navigate as I would like!
