There have been a number of articles lately on Software Boot Camps that train you to code in 3 or 4 months and “promise” a job; this article is typical.
These “9 week wonder” programs are proliferating in the major tech centers – aren’t there elements of this that the likes of DACC should/could emulate?
A couple of key elements that may bear on the apparent initial success 1) selectivity (less than 20% accepted) and commitment ($10-15 K for 9 weeks and 80-100 hour workweeks).
