Not to pick on a dissertation…which is probably purposefully obfuscatory in a certain academic sense…where one reaches to cram in as much meaning as possible into a sentence…. but the definition of critical thinking in the second paragraph is begging for some unpacking such as may be found in other parts of the dissertation?
Maybe if one changed “skillfully” to “skillful” and made one more change right in that part of the sentence, one would find it easier to understand the definition given for critical thinking.
