Carlos Gallinar talks SmartGrowth for El Paso. There’s no mention in the video of planning with broadband and cloud based connectivity in mind; but perhaps it’s in the plan somewhere. Â At PSA we think any vision for the future needs to account for the myriad changes that the online communications revolution is going to put in play.
El Paso does have some of the qualities that might make it a 21st century destination for talent, capital, and smart growth. As we know, they did get an ARRA BTOP grant, and one of the early “free wireless downtown” adopters. (kudos to Gary for this link)
