In lieu of footage, there’s various sorts of graphics that can be used in a video clip. One form that we are going to work with a lot is Prezi, an application that creates PowerPoint type presentations, except with a LOT more dynamism.
Then there’s something like this, which uses a lot of still graphics but still manages to be visually arresting. (Kind of appropriate because of the mosquitoes around 600 Dyne front door too.) What did they use to create this video? Combination of FCP and Prezi?
And who edited it, or directed it for Slate? Because some of the snappiest graphics go by so quickly one can’t actually see all that was put into the “scene”. The graphic artist who did this would certainly not have allowed that to happen, so someone else probably made editing decisions. For length? Something had to go?
