Remember Fractals? = highly detailed and mathematically based patterns, that repeated at every level of scale, going up or down.
The idea of “everything is a web” is kind of fractal in that way, as often the images created of structures of galaxies, and regions of the universe, tend to look like “webs”. As do images of the neurons in our brains connecting in a grand web. The numbers invoked are similar too, hundred billion here, hundred billion there.
And when data starts being graphed in 3D like shown here, one recalls that student interaction generates data, and one wonders what it would look like graphed in 3D… plus it’s just simply amazing what we are learning about the structure of space with the latest generation of powerful processor based tools. Which processing power can also be used to support learning.
Super computers on your wrist, on your face, in your pocket, and maybe under your skin…and connected to super data farms and all the learning resources that man has ever known… by some form of mobile and hardwired access. That’s our not too distant future…or is it just a few days away with the new product release PR? Coming soon to a life near you.
