PLACE MATTERS is a nation-wide initiative of the National Collaborative for Health Equity designed to improve the health of participating communities by addressing social conditions that lead to poor health. There are currently 19 Place Matters teams working in 27 jurisdictions. The Collaborative provides technical assistance to participating teams in the form of facilitation, Action Lab meetings (including national-level experts and peer-to-peer learning opportunities), technical assistance grants and access to data. This fall the Action Lab will be held in Las Cruces.
