Lynda.com is expanding its course inventory at a rapid pace, perhaps as part of a competition with YouTube based learning videos? Whatever is behind this huge increase of course inventory, we are the beneficiaries. Here’s a new course on “StoryTelling for Designers”. Hopefully it’s accessible even if you don’t have a Lynda.com subscription.

Is she actually standing in front of a green screen for this shot? Maybe. A key might be to note that she appears next to a big window which would be supplying light from the side, but her face seems to be casting shadows as if the light source was more from above.
Imagination is really the limit on adding a “new place” as the background for a green screen shoot. For example, would we want to be “presenting” from a mountain top, or from a room in the Versailles palace? One green screen effects plugin we got for Final Cut Pro puts the “presenter” underwater.
Maybe with a shark swimming by?
