No, this isn’t about using language to communicate, or sending an instagram…but rather an indicator that yes some very “weird” sci fi level capabilities are coming to a world near you. Or to your descendent’s world.
We have a dual personality when it comes to tech progress, having seen a lot of predictions that didn’t come true, and having worried a lot about if certain predictions come true…but we also have a real addiction to the idea of progress, and the world getting better.
For good reason, as if there was any way to “stay the same” or “go back to the way it used to be”.
But high tech change brings future shock, and a certain portion of those things we are afraid will happen…with tech running amok… will in fact occur. Some stuff is going to be scary, creepy, and weird, and in some ways change us fundamentally.
We can’t have a future that we control from the present, at least not with any degree of certainty. We can’t anticipate all the ancillary effects of every change that takes place, either.
Maybe a good idea to go back and read what Toffler had to say about adapting to “Future Shock”. In the meantime, this below is very exciting!! The implications for the future are amazing!!
