Yet another conference one could attend on Ed Tech. Often these are pricey, and one wonders who pays for the attendees to attend. This one circa $1.5K for three or four days, and says Saul Kahn and Wozniak are going to be there.
Probably the point is making contacts…as much content is now available online without the travel. And a lot of contacts are available online too. Mr. Masie’s bio includes the fact that he owns thoroughbred horses, and produces/invests in a long list of Broadway shows.
Perhaps there are ways to make a well paid career out of promoting ideas, and expertise. If so, Mr. Masie can probably offer some tips on that undertaking, as well as his thoughts on Ed Tech in the workplace.
A couple of my colleagues attended his Fall 2014 soiree (company paid attendance and sponsorship); not sure we have seen any business though. It setting was definitely a little different than the green room.
