Here’s two stories that paint very different pictures for higher ed in today’s transitioning OTL world. One covers Corinthian Colleges Inc undergoing some form of collapse or deep reorganization, under duress from various problems that have drawn the US gov involvement and rulings against them.

The other is Arizona State announcing online programs for Freshmen with minimal enrollment procedures, and costs. As we recall, ASU is a leader in online learning in conjunction with workforce development, and recently partnered, as noted here, with Starbucks to service their employees continuing ed needs at reduced or sometimes “free” tuition.

The program below is designed to be available to anyone in the world basically, and you pay after completion… so theoretically, if you can’t afford it, you could still do it…just wouldn’t get the accreditation. That business model for OTL has been around for a while now.
