Kris posted news about this a month ago. Alas, I’m not able to attend. One hopes they post some version of viewable recordings after today.
Perusing the names on the conference agenda: Carmen Gonzalez was the dean of CEL at NMSU about 5-10 years ago, when we were doing the OTLC program there. Susie Bussman, Julia Parra, Sandra Johnson are old colleagues and instructors. I think I recognize Ricardo Montoya as someone PSA knows. There are others listed we may wish to make contact with at some point.
Here’s the agenda today:

I’ve been popping in and out of the sessions, and I added the conference presentations to Dropbox.
The DACC session shared progress supporting instructors and students in the use of Canvas. Pass rates are going up as more instructors gain skills in using Canvas and OTL workshops. DACC helps faculty improve courses using Quality Matters. A future plan to improve access includes working with the City of Las Cruces to add wi-fi hot spots on buses in rural areas, and then park the buses in the rural area.
I checked in on the session about Quality Matters by Susie and Sandy. They are gearing up for a summer workshop for instructors. I never did hear from Julia during the conference, but she is listed as the conference facilitator and I was popping in and out of sessions so may have missed her.

Later, UNM discussed their projects. ITV, their interactive television works from main campus and is sent to remote campuses. They also have 9 MOOCs offered under continuing education for $49 for a certificate of completion. UNM has 10 designers to
support faculty, but it is up to faculty to participate in online delivery. Seems like a different model from NMSU where instructors are offered training in QM, online course development. UNM has its own quality rubric for course design and encourages designers to attend training. A national DLA conference is scheduled in November and UNM will present.
