In some ways, Minnesota is like NM, with a great deal of the state consisting of spread out small towns. Which creates a similar need for rural broadband access. However, Minnesota is a much more vibrant economy, as their rural areas are high producing agricultural hotbeds, with much much less poverty and lack of services such as we have here.
There’s many ways to skin a cat, and to provide rural broadband. There’s new tech coming along that promises to do the job affordably for spread out areas, new pushes by the federal government to supply funding, and in this case below, the Minnesota state legislature funded additional broadband resources, and hopes to do more.
Needless to say, it’s still presently a costly undertaking to serve spread out users over large land areas.
