People say workers themselves have the most responsibility for their job readiness and K-12 schools are the next in line; opinions diverge about the role of colleges, employers and governments.

PEW research, one of the world’s most reliable investigators of what is our current reality, at least as far as that can be determined with surveys and data analysis, has a new report on American Jobs during this time of change.

If workers themselves do have the most responsibility for their job readiness, then tools that support DIY learning would certainly be apropos. It’s also not surprising that opinions diverge on roles of colleges, employers, and governments, as those roles are in the early stages of disruption by cloud tools, mobile devices, and big data, among other factors requiring new approaches.
