During the ongoing communications revolution in the cloud, there’s a strong decentralizing factor…we can connect without staying in Silos where middle-men act as gate keepers. (Unless you want to count Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat et all as Silo-ed gate keepers…they do have their own platform “rules”.)
But the implications of such decentralized connectivity are many. Government traditionally is hierarchical and silo-ed…even those who describe themselves as “People’s Republics”. Under forces of destabilization ongoing, they may give way to decentralized self organizing systems…as may Education and Healthcare, to name two huge parts of our economy. What would that look like, and how would it work, are hard to imagine.
