There are new approaches and personnel at the state level for eduction in NM this year. Here’s a short interview with one of the important players, Mariana Padilla.

However, the current NM state legislature is not funding, or even allowing certain early childhood  bills to be voted on, so some of the ambitious plans for B-5 children support will be less ambitious, at least this year. Which won’t be what Maria Flores and others were hoping for. So not everything has changed, but at least the needs of early childhood in NM are being brought to the forefront of debate and consideration.
