It’s still early days for AR and VR in learning environments. It seems clear there is great teaching and learning potential in those two technologies, but exactly how they will be employed for learning is still unclear. We might look to ubiquitous DIY video production for ideas, which has generated two powerful approaches: the Flipped Classroom, and the “learn best by teaching others” video production starting in early years of education, both within and without the “institutional educational ” environments.

One might presume the NMSU Learning Games Lab is and has been exploring both AR and VR. Some have speculated that the roll out of 5G technologies will spur AR and VR deployment through the greater bandwidth possible.
