NM Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s administration announced today a proposal to make college tuition free for all state residents.
The NM Legislature would be required to pass such a law before this could occur, and the next session is January 2020, when it is anticipated there will be another Oil and Gas royalty driven budget surplus that could be tapped for such a program.
