MicroLearning is also a term that applies to many YouTubes, such as this one about Microlearning, which is itself a good example of the genre. (Is it too “macro” to point out that “encourage” (1:10) is the correct spelling of the word?)

Apparently Micro can be used as a prefix for many things. Below, it’s about micro-coaching.

Key Ideas:

1. The way that many of us in the instructional design world would understand microlearning, is chunking content.

2. But Microlearning is really about opportunities where people are able to learn, get feedback, and apply ideas of learning.

3. Micro coaching is one way of using application and feedback. It can be also be done distantly with the aid of technology.

4. Micro coaching is bridging the distance between the question and the answer instead of waiting for a formal meeting to structure a coaching.
