There’s two forms of school/ learning innovation during the pandemic. One is ad hoc MO by parents whose kids are LFH, such as the “pods” idea described below. These hold great promise, in that if there’s enough iterations of innovation across the 50+ million children K-12, we seem very likely to find approaches that work.
While the below talks about parents who can afford their own tiny school district in the home…one can imagine that something similar might be supported by community schools, should they be funded.
The other form is the top down solutions created and supported through large scale enterprise ,in partnership with large scale schools districts and states. These also hold promise, in that the more funding that becomes available the greater the opportunities for working out large scale solutions. Then there’s the question of “when” will such be available, as all sorts of innovation is “needed right now”.
