A “learning pod” seems to be a sort of subset of Community Schools, but also something new. Resources are put into new structures, and new results become possible. Sometimes innovations like this are the foundations of new ways of doing, say, education, in US. Other times, they are a stepping stone to further as yet unknown innovations.

For the most part, the word pod refers to unofficial learning collectives organized by parents, sometimes with the help of a professional teacher or tutor.

This is far easier said than done.
