Here’s Links to 4 Webinars exploring ideas being examined as to what can be done to establish the Community Schools model…here called “School-community partnerships”. It’s worth pondering how we came to need to re-establish the idea that schools and communities are in fundamental partnership.
How did we go from Schools being something the Community does, to Schools being something done to/ or for the Community? And will the pandemic underway re-establish more wholistic approaches to education; moving away from the idea that education is exclusively something that issues forth from a huge bureaucracy working to serve their own interests first, and students/ parents/ communities second. (not to be down on Public Education, but huge bureaucracies do what huge bureaucracies do)
