“Color Your Education” is the slogan of the newest charter school in Las Cruces: “Explore Academy”. Regardless of slogans, if they can offer programs that serve at-risk and others not succeeding in current LCPS schools, that’s the bottom line to pay attention to. Of note, they had to go to court to bypass prior attempted blocking by NM PED. We wish them well and hope they can be as high quality as the “New America” charter school has been, and that many students benefit from their existence.
Maybe they will be able to set a good example for methods of learning that LCPS might later adopt; which is one of the primary reasons for having charter schools.
