Here’s a YouTube clip from the “Flipped Classroom” channel, serving as an intro to the communication platform used by tens of millions: DISCORD. Formerly just for gamers, it has become a “general use tool” for communications in various media, and specifically, a platform that supports online teaching and learning quite well.

Setting up Discord takes some time, and planning, but can be seen as a good match for “Creating the Learning Community”, one of the PSA 7 Core Elements for OTL, which we’ve describe in shorthand as: “Members, Social Learning Construct, Shared Needs Pool, Dynamic Leadership Flow”
