While tech and communication changes affect us all, those getting close to entering the workforce have a lot to adjust to, and make career decisions about. Arriving AI tools are expected to change job definitions and job descriptions and make some current career advice obsolete. It will be some time before awareness of “what to do differently when preparing for and choosing a career” is ubiquitous.

Here’s a couple studies addressing attitudes such as existed in summer 2022, or in a much smaller survey, just this last week.

This below was taken from the study linked here. This is not at the level of comprehensiveness that one might find in the report above but it’s very current. Perhaps notable that “Nurse” is one point above “Anything”, when the US has many areas with Nurse shortages. Also of note that it differs quite notably from other surveys targeting a narrower age range.
