Longtime education “publisher” Pearson has gone through a number of changes over the last 15 years, announcing various plans to dominate the emerging EdTech market and buying competing companies. The transaction reported below, and the end of Pearson’s long contract with Arizona State University, are indications of the volatility of EdTech strategic plans, and the challenges of “keeping up with” a rapidly evolving media tech landscape. That’s the reality whether or not an EdTech company is well led.
Pearson, once a leader, sells its online services business
