STAT, one of the web’s most comprehensive and reliable reporters of medical news, just published a free eBook about the current state of AI in healthcare.
This is a topic of great interest to PSA, as the advent of less expensive and perhaps even higher quality diagnosis at home would be a huge boon for all in the US, and especially those living in poverty. As some have noted, rolling out online tools can be problematic, and we are not yet at the time of ubiquitous DIY with AI healthcare diagnosis through advanced tech at home. (robot doctors?)
But some envision such a reality by the end of the decade, or sooner, and Admin has personally used ChatGPT latest versions to analyze lab results and plan medications and lifestyle changes. Very helpful even as of today. What would be great would be some form of blood test that could be DIY and as comprehensive as labs done at a clinic.
