Slippery slope of expertise sliding away via cloud resources available to all.

IOW, a certain portion of what Watson is going to provide, will be accessible, or “useable” by the layman under certain circumstances.

Because access to healthcare professionals is expensive, intermediary services will “crop up” to provide the “facilitation” or “learning” component that will enable the layman to use Watson to aid health.

Just as those who can assist “learners” in using powerful cloud tools such as adaptive learning will tend to supersede the roles of teachers, thus also in healthcare.

And thusly in every other field where cloud resources can prove to be powerful “learning” assistants. Opportunities will be everywhere, and those who can enable learning in one context, will find they can enable learning in another seemingly unrelated context.

Maybe we can just consider that as “read” in all my subsequent posts, and can save some typing and reading…
