How does this scenerio apply to personalized learning and education as a service for workforce development? What are the current signals of change and drivers for transformation such as Coursera?
One of the biggest challenges in being prepared to work with and cope with advanced AI systems is being able imagine how things would work. So the more imaginative suggestions the better. Some might actually foretell the future, but whether or not any “get it right” we’ll have options stimulating our own imaginations. Which will help us be ready for whatever actually does come along.
For example, the forms that edutainment may take in a world like the above link require us to stretch our current perspectives, and be open to new ones. One challenge that seems touched on above is how much corporate sponsorship and ad embedding might be built into edutainment, and/or other educational programs/ tools… along with their powerful ability to personalize the experience in ways students might find involving and “fun”.
