Not so sure the social media data is new information, but in my opinion this video link is a good example for “sleek and robust”.

Yes Kris, agree it’s a very good example of an effective video style…that keeps one’s attention despite little if any “narrative” structure, and a whole lot of facts on parade. Of course, the facts are eye poppers…that’s the thing that feels like they have us pinned up against the wall…hammering us with “staggering data points”.
Sleek and robust with a big stick. It also happens to be an Ad for the guy who made it.
The tech involved in producing this video? A lot of it could be done in ppt or keynote. Depends heavily on moving “items” into and out of the “frame” which is also a Final Cut Pro kind of thing. But no actual “live shot” or even “animated characters”.
Lists an guy who “did it”: Evan Kutsko. http://evankutsko.com
This reminds me of a few other in this style, and often there’s a soundtrack kind of like this one, which adds a certain element of….of what? Suspense? Ominous? hard to say exactly how the music “works” but it does.
Just pasted a URL from my clipboard into the comment… and it’s live.
