A blog post from iMedicalApps discussed the collection of “Apps for Healthcare Professionals” by Apple. As these apps can be beneficial for clinical social workers too here are some of his arguments:
- The collection is useful starting point for professionals.
- It‘s good that Apple tries to categorise the apps.
- Some relevant apps and/or categories are missing.
- There is no information about the selection and verification of the apps.
- For only some of the apps it is known if they are i.e. FDA approved.
