While looking around for third party Prezi templates…and finding some, both free and like $5 each…., it turns out that Prezi.com has a section in the “explore” part of the main site, where “re-usable” prezi reside.
Which means you can take the existing prezi, and use it as a template. One way to see what prezi can do…and then also take advantage of someone else setting it up so that we can get a head start. That page is here.
However, while perusing there, I found a Prezi file…which goes over a short history of Prezi, mentioning that an early investor was TED…and then goes on to show/tell/prezi about how to import and use a PPT presentation in a Prezi. That prezi is called PowerPoint Import by Banks… and is linked here.
AS mentioned in another post or comment somewhere, Gary made a number of PPT presentations for the city of LC Council…and “gave them” too, btw. I have a few of them archived in our PSA website library.
I’m good at thinking up work for other people…but not always good at getting them to do it, so we’ll see on this one. But the idea is, that if Gary wants to learn Prezi, or have some fun with his earlier PPT CLC presentations on broadband uses and economic impact, that would be a cool addition somewhere in our menu structure.
If Gary doesn’t want to play in that sandbox, maybe I will, or someone, if Gary is okay with that, assuming my non existent spare time expands by a factor of 2 or 3x. Which seems unlikely, but ya never know.
It may be that one becomes “expert” and “facile” at doing prezi after a while, and can rip one in less time than it seems like today. Especially if one isn’t trying to explore and show/tell Value Added which can be challenging to visualize. But good practice, because a few prezi would likely end up in online DLE…
