Admin: Updating plugins is problematic….
I updated the TinyMCE Pro plugin about an hour ago, and it immediately disappeared and caused an inability to input text into a new post window. I’ve deactivated it, and put in a “call for help” to the developer.
So for now, we’re limited to the “standard” button set that comes with WP…although we have enhanced it with a few additional functions in the row above the “text” buttons… such as “Add Media, Add Poll, Media Selector, “short code”…
Will alert again when this problem is fixed. Maybe there’s a way to just revert to the earlier version of the plugin that was working fine for us for so long….
PLS note that there is a “chain link” button in the standard button set… one needs to select some text in one’s post in order to see the icon for linking. The icon is the same as our TinyMCE buttons, and operates the same way, but again, you must have selected the text you want to link to, before it will be useable, and not greyed out.
Last time this developer for TinyMCE got back to me quickly… this time nothing as yet, but it hasn’t been 24 hours yet. Posting is still doable as is… AFAIK. Also, problems may exist on my computer that don’t exist using other browsers or OS. Any feedback is appreciated while we sort out this glitch. TIA
