I had a chance to visit with Maria Flores today and catch up on the Children’s Reading Foundation.

Here is a LCSN news report from last year that shows some of the early reading programs offered by the Dona Ana County Children’s Reading Foundation, and a nice picture of Maria encouraging the love for reading at an early age.

The First Teacher Program is mentioned in the news report as a set of classes to teach parents how children learn.  Perhaps PSA may find some willing recruits as we develop DLE for the PSA T3 Project.  The program is funded through the Stocker Foundation at the LCPS elementary schools.

Here is information about the Stocker Foundation, an all family board, in Lorain Ohio. Programs are funded in Lorain Ohio as well as local programs where the trustees reside.
