At a meeting with Ed Lappin, we were discussing what he knew about “fair use” for non profits. So here is the wikipedia definition. Looks like we need an attorney in deciding what music and backgrounds will work for us.

As with many things, there’s advice out there online, and worth looking into to see if one can avoid attorney costs. At Amazon I found an eBook, or Kindle Book to check out how quickly and easily one can learn what one needs to learn about Fair Use.

A few non secrets: Non profit use is very helpful for “Fair Use” legality. Educational context good. Transformative use of material under copyright said by courts to be okay.
