The above subject/ headline is likely to be current for some years ahead. As education is often framed as establishing capability to do/ get/ have/ keep employment, educators need to be as current as possible on just what those jobs entail.
Education is also often framed as enabling an individual to become “all that they can be”, in terms of a well rounded knowlegebase, often seen as the raison d’être for “Liberal Arts Colleges”… but also a big part of the curricula for huge public land grant universities across US.
Where the liberal arts focus seems to come into question the most, is when education is seen as “all about vocational training” and less about  providing a democracy with citizens who make informed decisions, and participate in the “commons” in useful ways.
Hybrid workforces will seemingly call for new views on what should be included in “higher ed”/ Vocational Training/ OTJ learning.
