As has been noted, this could be the year that affordable access becomes a reality, as various State and Federal programs have been announced, and some funded. So called “life changing” amounts for broadband access are said to be a large feature of the current administration’s “Infrastructure Bill”. However we won’t know the extent or levels of new broadband buildout and subsidy, for a while yet.
