Good if the current administration is serious about identifying “internet dead spots” in various US locations, and NM certainly qualifies as one of those huge land areas with spread-out rural populations. Caught my eye that they are even talking about trying to provide some competition for ISP broadband monopolies. If that would happen some of the “affordable access” problems would go away.
But for rural broadband, as with rural telephone, there will still be a need for some forms of governmental support.
