ChatGPT shows a real ability to help us come up with ideas to improve education, and the current free site allows a “Regenerated Response” which is a “do over” using the same query. But since ChatGPT creates the entire process for each generated response, there are new combinations, and we get new responses for each Regen.
While similar, these Regens can vary in important ways, such as a different idea being present that wasn’t in the initial query response. In some ways, the last Regen in the PDF below might be the best version of the answers, but that’s difficult to say. See what you think, and leave a comment on your “best version”?
MO and Tools for learning- asking ChatGPT
The responses to the ChatGPT query seem more an informational synopsis from an extremely large data base on existing education models. What does it take for the training model to generate a response based on assessment of education models?
Good ask Kris. Thought to ask ChatGPT your question…and next post shows a response, and then a response to the response. Asking further questions based on the previous answer gets more specific information than just doing a regeneration of the first question. It seems one can learn a lot in a hurry, but also find out there’s so much more to learn.
Perhaps we want to know, before we drill down, is there drinkable water way down there? Are we going to get the specifics we would need, eventually? Or are we going to sort of go around in a circle? Maybe one has to have read the textbook to be able to ask the better questions? Lots to still find out about ChatGPT below the hood.
