As the author Stephen Marche states below, there’s a lot we don’t yet understand about VR. One might add that we are facing similar mysteries with AR.

VR doesn’t seem too different from any of the other media we now live with. My dad might have thought I was in a “daze” while watching TV. I know I can kill time playing on my iphone while waiting for whatever. VR is just one more extension. I’m wondering how we will each use it.
