PSA recently learned a lot about security vulnerabilities of websites…as has the CIA, the NSA, and thousands recently “ransomewared”.
One of our responses was to contract with WordFence, a major WordPress.org security support organization, which installs IRT security applications at one’s site, as well as monitoring the WP.org community as a whole for malware.
They offer many different security services, one of which is simply education about threats ongoing. Here’s a recent post on “What is a Brute Force Attack”.
Just for fun… (not really)… here’s a graphic of attacks they’ve stopped just to our PSA site in the last week. (warning, may be disturbing to view)
This email is a summary of your PSA security related activity that Wordfence monitors for the period June 5, 2017 to June 12, 2017.
