LLM and other AI  in the Healthcare Space is blowing up now in very interesting ways. See previous post diagram on Apple Health and ChatGPT links. This is not at all surprising given the huge amounts of the US GDP that Healthcare creates/ uses.

IOW, there’s a gold-rush ongoing to mine the data for healthcare services that AI can provide, or help provide.

PSA has, since its earliest founding circa 2008, suggested that both Healthcare and Education in the US, being such huge parts of the US GDP and governmental expenditures, were ripe for disruption.

It appears that disruption moment is exploding now for healthcare.

Education in the US is structured differently than Healthcare Services, but at some point states will be looking to scale back education expenses through use of highly developed EdTech AI tutoring and system processing.

But the procedural and installed base hurdles will slow that adoption, and there is already pushback from Teacher’s Unions and other legacy employees who are finding many ways to denigrate and deny AI usefulness in the education space. Some of those objections are serious problems that AI powers-that-be will have to overcome.

Or perhaps they will be able to route around similar to what’s currently happening to some degree in Healthcare.

Also of note, LLMs provide healthcare services around the world, in various countries with various healthcare systems. Such iteration is likely to help create new versions of how to do healthcare that can applied to various countries, possibly including the US.
