PEW Research is one of the most reputable polling and surveying services in the world. Which is not easy to maintain during a time when facts may be easily disparaged in public discourse,
(Propaganda and single sources for information have constrained accurate knowing pretty much throughout history, so our time isn’t necessarily qualitatively different than other ages.)
So there are some naysayers on their reliability, but PEW has managed to retain widespread credibility ..as much as it is currently possible to be respected by both sides. Also of note: statistics need to be understood in a context which reveals what can be useful and what is misleading. PEW reports are subject to this context as well.
