Just another in an expansive world of awareness of how the brain “does things”. Have seen a number of these reports, some on science channels on cable etc re how the brain constructs our world in ways that we are unconscious of, mostly. Has a lot of implications for learning…one wants to offer a DLE that takes advantage of anything we know about how the brain works “in the background” to “decide things” “for us”.
Say a learner is using a PSA supported DLE. We’d prefer that that persons brain didn’t decide it was time to “take a break” from the material “prematurely”… and so forth.
Apparently there are some who study these things, delving into the conjunction of psychology and cognition and “attention”. Magicians know a lot about it, for example.
