I took a good look at what is available at Prezzip in the way of templates, and elements to use for a prezi.
Was impressed enough to think, hmmm, if I get some of these templates, though pricey…we have access to all the individual elements that can be reused in our own prezi…to say nothing of modifying the templates as is.
So I got some, and downloaded to my hard drive for use with desktop version of Prezi.
I imagine there’s a way to share these elements with my fellow prezi creators here. One thing that’s somewhat hard to come by are “zoomable” graphics… something in “vector” graphic form that won’t get fuzzy when zoomed. These elements are vector based.
Anyway, let me know via personal email if you want to see about sharing these elements I’ve downloaded. It’s a lot faster than trying to do my own vector graphics…which I’m not an Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop freak, alas.
Great that you are checking into more advanced Prezi templates. I’m just trying my first Prezi today using my DLP mindmap. In my experience, when I try something for the first time it is better to go for the simplest option. I’m asking questions like: how intuitive is it? how easy is it to help myself (without calling my IT guy)?. With iBook, I found a really interesting template and it turned out to be a mess when I tried to work with it. So, I picked the basic iBook template and at least had the satisfaction of creating an iBook. Then, I know what I want next.
It is always good to be reminded of our tried and true standard for wading into the unknown, and learning as we go. It has served us very well. So do what seems right. I’m just a little farther down the road, so the fancy templates are what I’m playing with now that I have some to play with.
